Frequently asked questions
Can I do it even if I cannot paint?
Yes — that is exactly what paint by numbers was made for. You need no experience, just patience. Every field has a number and every number has its colour. Start with the larger areas and work your way to the details.
Can children do it too?
Yes — children from around 4 years old can already paint this way. For younger children, choose a simpler design with fewer colours, and feel free to paint together.
What kind of photo works best?
Photos with good light and clear faces or a strong subject work best — the sharper and more contrasty the photo, the more faithful the template. But you do not need to worry about this in advance: upload your photo and the preview shows you exactly how the template will look.
What if I do not like the template?
No problem — you see the template in the configurator before you order. Try a different crop, a different photo or a different number of colours and the preview is generated again. You only order once you like it.
How long does production and delivery take?
Production starts once you order. We produce standard orders in up to 6 business days, or 2 business days with express production. You’ll see the exact delivery date in the configurator before you order.
How long does painting take?
It depends on the size and the number of colours — smaller paintings take a few evenings, larger ones are a project of several weeks. There is no rush: the acrylic paints last 3–6 months in their closed pots.
Do I have to mix or buy extra paints?
No. You receive the paints already mixed to match the template, with a little extra in reserve. If something goes wrong anyway, just write to us — we will sort it out.
How do I look after the finished painting?
Once dry, the acrylic paints hold firmly. Keep the painting out of direct sunlight and do not wash it with water — just wipe off dust now and then with a dry cloth.
