Big striking design and yes, oversized, but please notice the colors won't overwhelm everything else in the room. Neutral tones play smartly around the composition to make this the perfect piece for most rooms. Big, important decorative piece with a more sophisticated palette. Textural and interesting from all angles. You can see the several different types of texture come into play. Built up and laid down these textures define each area of the overall design. Paint is laid down very flat without much brushwork. Simple painted wood box frame with brass banding. We suspect this was created sometime in the late 60s or possibly early 70s. Signed Richards. Measures 61" long 49 High, 1 1/2" frame depth Condition is remarkable. Super clean. No dust, no damage. There are a few light scuffs along the edges of the painting, all minor and hard to see. The only little thing is a small line about 2" down from the top edge that looks like an impression of a stretcher bar. Very slight. Frame has quite a few scuffs, scrape and dings.
