Superb circa 1790 French Miniature Portrait of a Gentleman with Hair Art in 18 Karat gold frame and Attr. to Lie Louis Perin - Salbreux. Approx. 1 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches portrait and framed is approx. 2 3/4 inches. Beautifully painted in curled wig. Blue satin jacket that you can almost feel the fabric. Gold buttons and trim and I love the way only one button half way is buttoned. Front has a black laurel crown ( Royalty) above the head and a wonderful hair art display tied in a hair bow at the bottom. Back has more hair. Obvious a Memorial portrait. I have purchased a small collection of fine Miniatures from a long time collector. This was purchased many years ago at Christies for 2200 pounds. Perin has Auction prices over $25,0000. This is a very good painting and exceptionally framed. No cracks to IV and nice color. Payment is due within 7 days
